In this post I’ll be reflecting on my project which you can find at this link: https://annaheckadon.github.io/Instagram-Memories/
First things first, I thoroughly enjoyed making this project. I made it for
The Heritage Jam 2017 competition. The theme for it was
The Bones of our Past.
At first, I had an incredible amount of difficulty trying to think up something to
do under this broad category. If you want to read more about my process in deciding and creating this project

There weren’t all that many things that went wrong that I couldn’t fix in my project. I struggled a bit with coding the map, but nothing I couldn’t figure out after several hours of searching for the answer (it only sometimes took that long). Starting out was definitely hard, but once I got the hang of it, it was nice and easy.
Overall, I really liked my project and how I decided to interpret Bones of our Past.
I liked how my idea
was pretty unique and different from other Heritage Jammers. However, I think it’s hard to measure success in
digital archaeology because, for example, I’m not sure how many people will actually find my website nor how
many people will actually interact with it. Nevertheless, I had a great time making my project and to me it was
worth it. Check out my project if you haven’t already and, as always, feel free to comment below!
